Reflections from Juanita (1)

Good morning! Today I'm going to be doing a quick little devotion about two scriptures from the Gospel of Luke 2:14. The verse says, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace among men with whom He is well pleased.” This was said by the angels who were proclaiming the birth of Jesus Christ to the shepherds at night. This verse just shows how much God loves the Son to the extent that there was peace over men with whom He was well pleased. Now, the fact that he was well pleased with men when Jesus Christ was born shows that he must really love Jesus Christ.
Because as you know, when you read through the Bible, you will see that the Israelites and the people and the nations kept on making God unhappy, kept on displeasing God. But when Jesus Christ was born, God was pleased with us and there was peace among all men, which also shows that Jesus Christ is the king of peace and that he brings peace to his people. And that's very interesting. So, because of the birth of Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son, God can be pleased with us men on earth. So, what I would apply from what I have observed is that I will give glory to God always and praise Jesus because he is the Prince of Peace and through him I can please God.
So, just knowing that I have Jesus Christ in me, that is God already in me, God's beloved Son in my heart, can make me closer to God. And to spend an eternity with God and be with Jesus already being close with God, that's very comforting and a very good thing that can happen. And then for my prayer, I pray that we all will be able to please God through praising him and acknowledging his Son Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace.
